Following my student days, I was at once producing some minimal paintings and billboard based collages. At times the two merged. I became interested in dimensional images and the involvement of the wall in the visual effect, leading to the use of an array of basically sculptural materials in what were nominally paintings. These works, while quite successful at the time, have the added value of defining a part of my aesthetic that persists to this day.
