These paintings and painted sculptures, while rarely shown,
are a part of my evolving art experience and quite fully connected to the origins of the Collage Series that followed. The free standing pieces were, at the same time, linked to the earlier work as shape suggesting space was replaced by paint attempting to deny real form.
